Ione Kellerhals ’12 wins honorable mention for first novel

Albion English major Ione Kellerhals ’12 won an honorable mention this fall for her first science fiction novel, The Donus Colony Incident, in the prestigious L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest.

The contest, which gets thousands of submissions, is judged this year by authors including Kevin Anderson, Orson Scott Card, and Anne McCaffrey.

He has published essays on human and animal bodies in Shakespeare, including an article in EMLS on "Mastiffs and Spaniels: Gender and Nation in the English Dog."
