New Database—Films on Demand

We are pleased to announce the Library is providing access to the Films on Demand streaming video collections for Albion College students, faculty, and staff.  From Oscar, Emmy, and Peabody award–winning documentaries to A-list performances spanning the arts, Films on Demand provides every academic department on campus with the most essential video titles for their field of study.

We are providing this service through Films on Demand’s patron-driven purchasing model, which allows up to 2 free uses of their films…a 3rd use triggers the purchase of a one-year lease of that particular film.  Films on Demand defines a use as 30 seconds or more of continuous play of a particular video.  Please note that watching films during class time keeps our costs down, but films can be assigned to students for viewing outside of class time when that is necessary.
