The most recent Odd Topics Society Lunch was Wednesday, Feb 27th. Our featured speaker was Mark Frever, Director of Grounds at Albion College. The title of his presentation was “Grass is Something to Stand on While Looking at Trees”: A Change in Perspective Over the Last 10 Years, discussing the challenges of groundskeeping and maintaining the tree population of Albion College.

For those new to Albion College, the Odd Topics Society is a monthly luncheon group that provides individuals with an opportunity to share their more unusual interests with others. The Society meets for lunch at noon in the Mary Sykes Dining Room in Baldwin Hall on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
