Hello friends and family.
Sorry again for the delay in posts, work is busy and well… a little dull to write about everyday. Not to say I’m not enjoying myself, I find the work challenging and time consuming, and I enjoy the change of pace from previous jobs.
Since I’ll never quite get an opportunity to live where I am and work where I work for quite some time, I’ve decided to stay an extra couple of weeks here in DC and work at Heritage till December 18, instead of the 4th. This means I’ll fly home for Thanksgiving to see friends and family, and eat some non-frozen real food. Also it means I’ll get to see more historic museums and monuments while I’m here. I’ve tried to see at least one a week on Saturdays. So far I’ve visited the National Gallery of Art, American History Museum, the Holocaust Museum, and the old Post Office. I’ve run by the Capitol (which we’re taking a tour of Friday), the Washington Monument, and the WWII Monument. The Mall area is quite impressive and filled with Museums and Federal Building that I doubt I’ll come close to seeing everything.
At work I’ve been staying busy with a couple projects. One of my supervisors, Mark, had me work on a credit card project where I had to analyze the transactions of employees using a particular type of American Express Card and determine whether or not they were using the card correctly. After complying a 70 sheet excel file that included each person’s transactions from the past 3 months and their respective charts, I was able to present to him a coherent and readable layout of each person’s spending breakdown. Also our Accounting department was closing out the mouth of September this week, so its been a little hectic to make sure things are getting done so we can move on to October.
Well thats all for now. I’ll leave you with a picture of some of the great people I’ve been hanging out with the past month and who have become fast friends.

From L to R: Phil, Eric (one of my roommates), John, Me, and David
