Widgets – Managing Your Site’s Navigation

To use Widgets…

  1. Log in to your site’s Dashboard
  2. Select Widgets from under appearance.
  3. Click the Add link, to add widgets
  4. To remove a Widget, click Edit in each Widget, then Remove
  5. Save your changes

Note: To configure widgets, Save fisrt, then edit the widget.

Themes – Managing Your Site’s Appearance

There are many themes to choose from to style your site. You can change your site’s appearance with just a few mouse-clicks:

  1. Log in to your site’s Dashboard
  2. Under Appearance, choose Themes
  3. Use the number buttons to navigate through the themes pages
  4. Preview a theme by clicking on it.
  5. Click the X in the upper left to discard, or click “Activate <theme name>” in the upper right.
  6. Visit the front end of your site to view it in the  new theme.
  7. Don’t like what you see? Just repeat the process and select a new theme.

Site Title and Tagline

You can customize the site name and/or the tagline (just another campus.albion.edu weblog) that displays in the header of your WordPress template.

  1. Log in to your site’s dashboard
  2. Click Settings, General
  3. Change the site name and/or tagline as you prefer
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Save your changes
