POST-DOC and FULL MEMBERS ARE ALL ELIGIBLE TO NOMINATE OR TO STAND FOR ELECTION
Any member with a Ph.D. may both nominate and stand for election. According to the by-laws, post-docs are officially full members; the Society has offered post-docs a reduced rate for meeting registration, and this practice will continue, but with regard to all other Society matters post-docs are afforded the same privileges and responsibilities as full members.
Please use the form below to nominate as many as three people for each position. Self-nominations are allowed. If you are uncertain about eligibility of a potential nominee please email me at email@example.com.Nominations are open until 11:59 pm (EDT) on Monday, July 15, 2019.
President-elect: One-year term, but three-year commitment. President-elect serves on Executive Committee, becomes President for one year at the end of the Business Meeting the year after his/her election, then serves one year as Past-president. The most important task of the President is to organize the annual meeting.
Executive Committee member: Four-year term.
Duties and responsibilities of each office can be viewed in the by-laws.
As specified in the by-laws, I will contact those who receive the most nominations for a particular position to determine their willingness to stand for election, then will circulate a ballot listing the names of the top two most frequently nominated (and willing to serve) members. New officers will be announced at the meeting in September.
Nominations MUST be received by Monday, July 15, 11:59 pm (EDT).
