Town & Gown 2: President Mauri Ditzler

This week’s Town & Gown Podcast episode features president of Albion College, Dr. Mauri Ditzler. President Ditzler talks about the college and community relationship — especially in the year that he’s been on the job.

Dr. Ditzler became president of Albion College in July 2014. In his first year, he’s reached out to community members in Albion for ideas on how to revitalize the town. He’s also brought some of his own ideas, and we’ll talk about those, too.

Dr. Ditzler comes to Albion from Monmouth College in Illinois, where he was the president for nine years. Before that, he was a dean and a chemistry professor. A true midwesterner, Mauri and his wife, Judy, own an apple orchard in his home state of Indiana.
