Holocaust Studies in Poland 2009
Since 1999 Albion College students, faculty, and staff have traveled to Poland to study the Holocaust. In 2001 Albion inaugurated its biennial Holocaust Studies Service-Learning Project to assist in the restoration of the New Jewish Cemetery in Wrocław. This year Albion alumni are visiting Poland on their own Holocaust Studies Trip together with Holocaust survivor Miriam Winter, who as a child in Poland during the war was hidden from the Nazis. As part of their trip, the alumni are joining current Albion students for a day of work in Wrocław. As part of the building of a broader community of memory, members of each of the groups are sharing their experiences through this blog (links at end to each category).
