Course Development Workshop

Yesterday was the first day of classes, but for some of us the preparation began a week ago when nineteen Albion College teachers met for a course development workshop.

We met in Cutler Commons, on the main floor of Stockwell Library. What a great space! Light and airy; comfortable work stations; flexible seating arrangements; plenty of places to plug in — perfect for working individually and in groups. Using the Cutting Edge Course Design Tutorial, we processed our learning goals, assignments, and assessments together. We enjoyed bagels, sandwiches, and conversation. We think this may have been the first annual Course Development Workshop.
