MindFlex in PSY 348

Students tried to use brain waves (or at least that’s what the manufacturer claims) to adjust power to a fan that levitates a small ball.  Then by turning a knob the ball can be moved around the course, through obstacles (if brain activity allows it to go to the correct height).

To test if in fact the device is sensitive to brain waves or just muscle tone, a student tried it with the electrode against his forehead, as specified, and against his jaw muscle.  Jaw muscle did not work very well, so perhaps the device is sensing brain activity.
