Quercus robur L. – Fagaceae – beech family

The English oak is a rare tree on the parkage that we sampled.  We only encountered two specimens, both of them relatively large trees.

One nice specimen is located on the W side of Burr Oak Street in the 700 block. The other is located on Business 94 in the 500 block, E side of the street, as you drive up (or down) the water tower hill.
