March 7, 2019: In a post on the Women in Astronomy blog, JoEllen McBride and I took a closer look at data from the National Science Foundation that appear to show the “number of Women with U.S. Doctorates in Science, Engineering, or Health Employed in the United States More Than Doubles since 1997”. While the news is generally positive, the short answer is that employed women with PhDs are generally still in the minority.
