October 23, 2021: One of my great joys at Albion College is my position as the advisor to the Albion College Dance Team. Over the past 15 years, I’ve seen many of the dancers transition from nervous and uncertain first-year students to confident and poised young women who are ready to take on the world. I am so proud of each and every one of them!

The team recently celebrated 25 years (and counting!) since the founding of the team as the Briton Rhythm Squad in 1994. Over 120 women have danced with the team, most of them for their entire four years at Albion College. Several years ago, I had the idea to host an alumni reunion dance, and though the COVID pandemic delayed the performance a bit, several alumni returned to dance with the current team at the Homecoming football game in October. It was so much fun to see them learn the routine and share memories of their time together.
