Students with an interest in public health can major in anything, while participating in our public health-related programming including speakers, volunteer opportunities, research, and domestic and study-abroad internships. Just one such activity is the opportunity to join a Living Learning Community centered around public health. Students from majors across campus with an interest in public health can apply to live together in a community focused on public health.
As part of this community, students are able to meet other students with common interests and participate in special events and activities related to public health. In the coming year, activities will include speaker series, contact tracing training, mask making demonstrations, public health education leadership activities, and a Walk to End Alzheimer’s team and memory garden construction. In addition, students in the Living Learning Community receive preferential registration access for our popular Introduction to Public Health (HCI175) course. You have a passion. We have a path.
