The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a component of the Albion College Strategic Plan. Our CTL Research Team, appointed in the fall of 2008, submitted our report to the Board of Trustees in May, 2009. In the fall of 2009, we informally reorganized ourselves as the CTL Committee. Since then we have acquired a designated space (Ferguson 108, 109, and 111), a budget, and a director.

Mission Statement

The CTL supports the pedagogical development of Albion College faculty and staff by:

  • offering programs that facilitate the exchange of ideas about teaching and learning;
  • providing access to resources for pedagogical development;
  • fostering a campus culture centered on teaching and learning;
  • equipping teachers for all stages of their careers.
